Art, Food, and Opening Night: The Ananas Ananas Experience at Casa Laveni

When Casa Laveni opened during Milan Design Week 2026, Bohopo wanted the occasion to be more than a launch event. The vision was to create an opening that reflected what the hotel is meant to be: a space where design, culture, and community meet naturally.

To bring that to life, Bohopo partnered with Ananas Ananas, the Milan-based creative studio known for transforming food into a medium for artistic expression and human connection. The collaboration resulted in an immersive installation in the Casa Laveni lobby — a work that engaged guests through taste, conversation, and the particular kind of intimacy that food creates in a shared space.

The installation was not incidental to the opening. It was the opening , a statement about the kind of hotel Casa Laveni intends to be. Located on Via dei Bossi, a short walk from Teatro alla Scala and the Brera Pinacoteca, the hotel occupies a position in one of Milan’s most creative neighbourhoods. Ananas Ananas, as a studio that operates at the intersection of food and contemporary art, was a natural partner.

Looking back on that evening, the collaboration stands as a useful model: a hotel that opens its doors not just to guests, but to the creative community around it. Spaces become platforms when the people and ideas they host matter as much as the design of the rooms.
